I'm only a couple months late, but I finally finished my block for January.

Barbara's Gray block

Here is Barbara's block after Judy, Marianne, and me.  Barbara is a masterful stitcher.  She did the fancy strip at the bottom before sending the block out.  Her stitching is so precise and tiny!  Yum! 

Judy's Grey Block

Here is Judy"s block after Marianne and me.  Marianne did the chickadee and I gave him a branch to sit on.  Pretty fabrics and nice piecing! 

Lori's Grey/Gray Study Block

Here is Lori's finished Gray block.  There was some mighty fancy stitching done by Barbara and Judy. Marianne was having "life happening" problems, so I finished the block before sending it on to Lori.

My UFO (unfinished object)

This is the block I sent in for the UFO project in CQ for newbies.

It's hard to believe anything could save this eye sore.

 

 

Can you believe this is the same block after 5 talented ladies got through with it!!!  I intend to finish it off and somehow frame it for display.  I have some gold fabric to use for borders, to start with.

 

Marianne's Gray/Grey study block

Marianne mails to me so I was the first one to work on her block.

 

This is her block. I did a few seams, added the tatted heart, the sequin waste thingee in the lower left corner, and added a viney thing with a caterpillar.

 

Here's a close up of the caterpillar.  It's still sorta difficult to see.

 

 

UFO - Lisa B's replacement block

Lisa's block went missing somewhere along the way, so Beth N pieced a new block for her and started it. I was the last one to work on it so here is the finished block.
